Job Overview
We are looking for a Financial Literacy SME to support the development and review of learning content focused on personal finance concepts for educational programs. The SME will ensure accuracy, clarity, and instructional quality of all financial literacy materials.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and validate financial literacy content (budgeting, saving, credit, investing, taxes, insurance)
• Collaborate with instructional designers and content teams to develop learning materials
• Ensure content is accurate, age-appropriate, and aligned with learning objectives
• Provide feedback on lesson plans, assessments, and digital learning modules
• Support creation of real-world examples and learner-friendly explanations
Required Qualifications
• Proven experience in the construction industry or skilled trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general construction, project management)
• Strong understanding of construction fundamentals, tools, safety standards, and workflows
• Experience supporting training, curriculum, or educational content development preferred
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, student-friendly language
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working with CTE programs or K-12 education
• Experience with career exploration or workforce readiness initiatives
• 5+ years of experience in finance, financial education, or related domain
• Strong understanding of core personal finance concepts
• Experience in content review, curriculum design, or EdTech is preferred
• Ability to simplify complex financial topics for learners
