Digital Marketing Executive (Performance & Lifecycle)

Who Are We

ThistleBet is a growing UK-licensed sports betting and online casino operator and we are looking for a commercially minded Digital Marketing Executive to join our team.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of key acquisition and retention channels, helping to drive growth across SEO, PPC and CRM. Working closely with senior marketing stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in delivering measurable commercial results while gaining exposure across multiple digital disciplines.

About the Role

As our Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll support player acquisition, engagement and retention across a range of channels. You’ll be responsible for executing agreed marketing plans, optimising performance and helping ensure marketing activity delivers strong commercial outcomes.

Please note that occasional attendance at our Colchester or Cardiff offices may be required for meetings and other business-related activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

SEO

• Support and deliver organic growth strategies across sportsbook and casino products

• Manage content planning and content briefs to improve rankings and visibility

• Monitor website performance, technical SEO and site health

• Work with developers to resolve technical issues and improve user experience

• Track rankings, organic traffic and conversions, reporting on performance and impact

PPC/Paid Search

• Plan, launch and optimise paid search campaigns

• Manage budgets to achieve agreed CPA and ROAS targets

• Test and refine ad copy, creative and bidding strategies

• Monitor campaign performance and conversion tracking

• Ensure all activity complies with relevant advertising regulations

CRM & Lifecycle Marketing

• Deliver player lifecycle campaigns from onboarding through to retention and reactivation

• Build and manage segmented and automated customer journeys

• Use customer data and insights to improve engagement and player value

• Monitor campaign effectiveness, retention metrics and ROI

As a regulated business, compliance is a fundamental part of this role. You will be expected to ensure that all marketing activity is carried out in accordance with UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) regulations, ASA and CAP advertising guidelines, Responsible Gambling and Safer Gambling requirements and the Company’s internal compliance policies and procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Experience in at least two of SEO, PPC or CRM, with an interest in developing across all three areas

• Commercial mindset with strong analytical skills

• Comfortable working with data, reporting and performance metrics

• Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities

• Experience using relevant marketing platforms such as Google Ads, GA4, Search Console or CRM/email marketing systems

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desirable

• Experience within iGaming, sports betting or another regulated industry

• Understanding of UKGC and ASA/CAP advertising requirements

• Experience managing customer acquisition and retention performance

• Knowledge of player value metrics including CPA, ROAS, LTV and NGR

• Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO)

• Understanding of attribution modelling and customer journey analysis
