Role: Financial Planning & Business Development Intern (Remote, Full-Time)
This role is built around setting qualified meetings and learning how to build a client base in financial advising. You’ll help drive top-of-funnel growth—prospecting, outreach, and appointment setting—while you shadow advisors to learn the craft of discovery, planning, and long-term relationship management.
What You’ll Do
• Set qualified meetings for advisors via phone, email, and social/professional platforms.
• Prospect and nurture leads: research targets, craft outreach, follow up, and manage pipelines.
• Learn client acquisition: scripts, objection handling, discovery frameworks, and referral tactics.
• Maintain the CRM: log activities, track stages, and report weekly KPIs (meetings set, show rate, pipeline value).
• Shadow client meetings and assist with prep/follow-ups (notes, summaries, next steps).
• Support basic plan prep and light analytics as needed (e.g., organizing account info, compiling reports).
What You’ll Learn
• A repeatable meeting-setting playbook for financial services.
• Objection handling and conversation frameworks that convert.
• How to build and manage a personal book of business ethically and compliantly.
• The end-to-end advisory process: prospect → discovery → plan → recommendation → relationship.
Qualifications
• Strong communicator (written + verbal) with a friendly, professional phone presence.
• Organized and metrics-driven; comfortable owning weekly targets.
• Self-starter who can work independently in a remote setting.
• Pursuing or completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Prior sales, fundraising, campus ambassador, or call-center experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRMs and basic finance concepts is helpful (we’ll train you).
