IBM ITOM Engineer (Remote – United States)

We are seeking an experienced IBM ITOM Engineer to support the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise IT Operations Management (ITOM) reporting environment. This individual will play a critical role in report setup, distribution management, troubleshooting, and process optimization within a large-scale managed services environment.
This is a fully remote contract opportunity open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.
Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain the IBM/Rocket ITOM reporting platform, including system configuration, user access provisioning, and environment health monitoring.
• Perform Product Administration functions related to report setup, including defining report parameters, scheduling, formatting, and output routing.
• Execute distribution data entry activities to ensure accurate recipient mapping and successful report delivery.
• Troubleshoot report generation failures, distribution issues, and platform performance concerns in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to align reporting outputs with established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and knowledge base documentation related to ITOM reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate or streamline reporting setup and distribution workflows.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior team members on ITOM reporting tools and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering IBM/Rocket ITOM reporting tools.
• Demonstrated experience performing Product Administration functions, including report setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance.
• Proven experience managing distribution services, including recipient management, routing rules, and delivery validation.
• Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise managed services environments.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT Operations Management (ITOM) frameworks and operational processes.
• Proficiency in IBM/Rocket ITOM platform administration and configuration.
• Experience with report scheduling, output formatting, and automated distribution processes.
• Familiarity with ITSM ticket management workflows and Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes.
Soft Skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with enterprise scheduling and reporting tools such as Control-M or Automic.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms and related integration patterns.
• Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting to automate reporting processes.
• Experience working within manufacturing or automotive IT environments.
Certifications
Preferred
• ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification
• IBM Certified Administrator certification relevant to the supported product line

Experience Level

• Senior-level individual contributor with the ability to work independently and support enterprise-scale reporting operations.
Pay: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour
