Title: Senior Arbitration Associate

Location: California – 100% remote

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 total compensation, depending on experience

A fast-growing plaintiff-side labor and employment firm is looking to add an experienced Senior Arbitration Associate to its Arbitration Department.

This role will focus primarily on mass arbitration matters involving wage and hour claims. The firm is looking for someone with strong plaintiff-side employment experience, hands-on arbitration exposure and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with confidence and attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for an employment litigator who wants substantive arbitration work without being limited to traditional single-case litigation. You will work closely with the Arbitration Team Lead and play an important part in helping shape the continued growth of the department.

The Role:

You will handle a substantial caseload of mass arbitration matters, primarily involving wage and hour violations and employee compensation claims.

You will:
• Manage a high-volume caseload of mass arbitration matters
• Handle wage and hour arbitration claims involving employees who have allegedly not been properly compensated
• Draft and review arbitration demands, motions, discovery requests and responses
• Conduct legal research and develop strategy for individual and batch arbitration matters
• Prepare for and represent clients at arbitration hearings, mediations and settlement conferences
• Work closely with the Arbitration Team Lead on case strategy, workflows and best practices
• Help develop templates and processes to support efficiency across the arbitration team
• Ensure compliance with arbitration provider rules, including AAA and JAMS procedures
• Track case progress and provide regular status updates to the Arbitration Team Lead and firm leadership

Compensation:
• $150,000–$200,000 total compensation, commensurate with experience

Location: California – 100% remote

What they’re looking for:
• California Bar admission in good standing
• 4+ years’ employment law experience preferred
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience, although strong 2–3 year candidates may be considered
• Minimum 2 years’ arbitration experience
• Wage and hour experience required
• Experience with class action, PAGA or mass arbitration matters strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with arbitration demands, discovery, motions and hearings
• Working knowledge of arbitration forums and rules, particularly AAA and JAMS
• Strong writing, research and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage high-volume matters with accuracy and strong attention to detail
