Role Description The Senior Associate, Debt Capital Markets, will be a full-time, on-site team member based in Kirkland, WA. This role involves supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of debt transactions, including loans, bonds, and other financing instruments for corporate and institutional clients. The Senior Associate will build and maintain detailed financial models, prepare pitch materials and transaction documentation, and conduct market and issuer analysis to inform recommendations. Daily responsibilities include managing due diligence processes, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (such as legal counsel, lenders, and rating agencies), and tracking key performance and market indicators. The role also involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to product and process improvements, and ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all deliverables.
Qualifications
• Strong finance and capital markets knowledge, including experience with corporate finance, debt instruments, and transaction structures.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel or similar tools to analyze capital structures, cash flows, and scenario outcomes.
• Proven analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk and return, and develop clear, data-driven recommendations.
• Experience conducting due diligence on issuers, industries, and transactions, including reviewing financial statements, legal documents, and market research.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to prepare client-ready materials and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, MBA) is a plus.
• Several years of relevant experience in debt capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar field.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working on-site in a collaborative team setting in Kirkland, WA, with a commitment to ethical conduct and inclusive teamwork.
