Sr. Manager, Solutions Consultant Team Lead – Business Cards & Payments (Remote Eligible)

Business Cards & Payments is looking for a Sr. Manager to lead our Solutions Consultants team. Capital One Solutions Consultants are trusted advisors, supporting our field sales team with existing and prospective customers during the sales process, bringing extensive product expertise, accounts payable process knowledge, technical expertise and industry best practices. As our Solutions Consultant Sr. Manager, you will lead the team of Solutions Consultants to optimize support for our field sales team. Our field sales teams need assistance in guiding our customers on how our products will work within their accounting processes and systems. Your guidance, expertise, and mentorship of your team will empower our field sales teams and provide a differentiated level of value to our customers. Your team will play a key role in defining solutions that deliver on a customer’s key business priorities and ensuring value realization of their partnership with Capital One.
The ideal candidate is:
• Strong Communicator: You are proficient in tailoring complex technical, financial, and strategic communications to diverse audiences, including C-suite executives and Senior Leaders. You seamlessly translate technical workflows into clear business value.

• Solution Architect: You have outstanding solution-scoping abilities, mapping current B2B payment products to complex client accounting workflows while effectively capturing market feedback to influence future product design.
• Analytical Problem Solver: You proactively resolve complex, ambiguous technical hurdles. You ask probing questions, identify root causes, and mobilize the right stakeholders to correct operational or technical breakdowns.

Responsibilities:
• Talent Leadership: Recruit, hire, and retain industry-leading Solutions Consulting talent, building a diverse, high-performing team.
• People Development: Train, mentor, and coach team members, inspiring them to achieve their full potential while expanding their technical acumen across accounting systems and B2B payment platforms.
• Technical Escalation: Serve as an escalation point for complex technical deals, guiding your team through advanced architecture, integration hurdles, and custom client workflows.
• Sales Partnership: Partner closely with Field Sales leadership to develop resource allocation strategies that optimize SC engagement, accelerate the sales cycle, and drive growth.
• Performance Management: Define, measure, and optimize key performance metrics for the SC organization, ensuring high resource utilization, deal technical accuracy, and team accountability.
• Product Influence: Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization to prioritize, influence, and refine product roadmaps based on field intelligence and client requirements.
• 20-30% travel domestically

Basic Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in people leadership or peer coaching
• At least 5 years of experience working with accounting systems and the accounts payable process
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• At least 5 years of people leadership experience managing a technical pre-sales or solutions consulting team
• At least 5 years of experience with business payment rails (such as ACH, Virtual Card, Wire) and technical integration methods (such as APIs, SFTP file transfers)
• 6+ years experience working directly with mid-market or enterprise ERP or accounting ecosystems (such as NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, SAP) or the accounts payable process

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $161,500 – $184,300 for CML Card Client Development Senior ManagerRichmond, VA: $161,500 – $184,300 for CML Card Client Development Senior Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
