Overview

The Marketing/Creative Director serves as the leader of all marketing, creative, content, and growth initiatives. This role owns the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy, customer acquisition strategy, content strategy, brand positioning, launch strategy, and creative vision across all channels.

The ideal candidate is both a visionary strategist and an exceptional operator – someone who can think like a CMO, direct like a Creative Director, analyze like a Growth Marketer, and lead like an Executive.

You will oversee all aspects of:

Key Responsibilities

Executive Marketing Leadership

• Develop and own the company’s annual marketing strategy and growth roadmap.

• Establish marketing goals, KPIs, budgets, and forecasting models aligned with company revenue objectives.

• Partner closely with the Founder, CEO, VP, Project Manager, Programs Team, and Social Media Team.

• Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

• Drive strategic planning for product launches, evergreen funnels, events, retreats, certifications, and new business initiatives.

• Build scalable marketing systems, processes, and reporting structures.

Creative Direction & Brand Leadership

• Serve as the creative steward of the brand across all customer touchpoints.

• Develop and maintain brand voice, messaging frameworks, visual identity, and creative standards.

• Lead creative concept development for launches, campaigns, promotions, products, events, and partnerships.

• Direct copywriters, designers, video editors, producers, photographers, and creative contractors.

• Provide final approval on marketing assets before publication.

• Ensure consistency and excellence across all customer-facing content.

• Guide storytelling that strengthens audience trust, engagement, and conversion.

Content Strategy & Content Marketing

• Own the company’s content strategy across all channels and formats.

• Build content ecosystems that support audience growth, authority building, lead generation, and sales.

• Oversee production of: YouTube videos, Podcasts, Social media content, Emails, Blogs and articles, Launch assets, Webinars, Sales assets, Educational content, Case studies and testimonials

• Direct editorial calendars and content production schedules.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts and thought leaders to create industry-leading content.

• Ensure content aligns with customer journey stages and business objectives.

Growth Marketing & Customer Acquisition

• Develop customer acquisition strategies across paid, owned, earned, and partnership channels.

• Optimize lead generation and customer acquisition funnels.

• Oversee:, Meta advertising, YouTube advertising, Google advertising, Affiliate marketing, Influencer marketing, Organic acquisition channels

• Evaluate and test emerging platforms and growth opportunities.

• Monitor and improve CAC, ROAS, MER, CPA, CPL.

Product Marketing & Launch Strategy

• Lead go-to-market strategy for all products, programs, events, retreats, and certifications.

• Develop launch plans and campaign strategies that maximize enrollment, participation, and revenue.

• Define product positioning, messaging, customer segments, and competitive differentiation.

• Create customer journey maps from awareness through retention.

• Collaborate with product and operations teams to improve customer experience and outcomes.

CRM, Email & Lifecycle Marketing

• Own customer lifecycle strategy from lead acquisition through retention and re-engagement.

• Develop segmentation and personalization strategies.

• Optimize: Email marketing, Automated nurture sequences, Customer onboarding, Retention campaigns, Upsell and cross-sell strategies, Win-back campaigns

• Ensure CRM systems are fully leveraged for customer growth and engagement.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

• Establish KPI frameworks and performance dashboards.

• Track and report on: Revenue, Pipeline, Leads, Conversion rates, Customer acquisition cost, Return on ad spend, Email engagement, Audience growth, Content performance, Customer lifetime value

• Lead testing initiatives across marketing channels.

• Drive a culture of experimentation and continuous optimization.

• Translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and creative team.

• Manage internal team members, contractors, and strategic partners.

• Create accountability, performance standards, and growth plans.

• Foster collaboration between marketing, program, sales, customer support, and operations.

• Build scalable processes that enable sustainable growth.

• Recruit, onboard, and develop top marketing talent.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles.

• 5+ years managing marketing and creative teams.

• Proven success leading growth and marketing strategy for digital-first businesses.

• Deep expertise in:

• Content marketing

• Brand marketing

• Direct response marketing

• Email marketing

• Product marketing

• Paid media

• Customer acquisition

• Customer retention

• Experience managing seven-figure marketing budgets.

• Strong understanding of digital sales funnels and customer journeys.

• Exceptional leadership and project management skills.

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities.

• Strong analytical and financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in creator brands, education companies, coaching businesses, wellness brands, media companies, or online course businesses.

• Experience scaling companies from multiple seven figures to eight figures and beyond.

• Experience leading remote teams.

• HubSpot, Google Analytics, Asana, Hubspot, and AI-tool proficiency.
