Social Media / Marketing Support – Volunteer

Use your social media and marketing skills to help a new ADHD CIC reach neurodivergent people, promote free and low-cost support, and grow our local community impact.

What difference will you make?

Chiltern ADHD Clinic CIC has been created to provide free and low-cost support for neurodivergent people, families, students and the wider local community.

Skilled marketing and communications support will help us reach people who may not otherwise know that support is available. This could include people looking for body doubling, workshops, ADHD-friendly spaces, practical strategies or a sense of community.

This role would help us promote events clearly, explain what we offer in an accessible way and build trust with local people and partner organisations.

As a new CIC, we have strong community need and growing services, but limited capacity to create consistent, engaging content alongside delivery. The volunteer’s support would help us increase awareness, attendance and community engagement.

This role will make a real difference by helping the right people find practical, affordable support sooner.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with at least three years’ experience in social media, marketing, communications, copywriting, content creation or digital marketing.

They should be able to create clear, engaging content and help us communicate our work in a warm, accessible and professional way.

Helpful experience would include

• Creating social media content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or TikTok
• Writing captions, posts or short-form copy
• Using Canva or similar design tools
• Creating reels, short videos or simple visual content
• Planning content around events, campaigns or community projects
• Understanding audience engagement and online reach
• Communicating about health, mental health, disability, inclusion or social impact

The most important qualities are

• Creative and able to suggest ideas
• Reliable and able to follow through on agreed tasks
• Strong written communication
• Able to write clearly and accessibly
• Friendly, respectful and non-judgemental
• Willing to receive feedback and make edits
• Comfortable working flexibly and independently, with support
• Able to understand confidentiality, boundaries and safeguarding around public communications

Lived experience of ADHD, autism or neurodivergence is very welcome, but not essential.
