About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced self-employed Accountant to provide accounting and finance support services to our UK operations under an Independent Contractor Agreement.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced finance professional who operates on a self-employed basis and enjoys working independently while supporting an international business.
Scope of Services
The successful contractor will be expected to provide services including:
• Recording and maintaining accounting records.
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Preparing payment runs and reconciling bank accounts.
• Preparing VAT information and supporting statutory compliance.
• Liaising with external accountants and advisers.
• Assisting with monthly management accounts and year-end financial reporting.
• Maintaining accurate financial documentation.
• Providing general accounting and finance support as reasonably requested.
• Provide occasional operational support for business activities during peak periods.
Required Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting practices and VAT.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Good written and spoken English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage
Experience supporting international businesses would be advantageous.

Important Information
This opportunity is offered on a self-employed independent contractor basis only.
The successful applicant will enter into an Independent Contractor Agreement and will be responsible for their own income tax, National Insurance contributions and any other applicable statutory obligations.
