Sales Development Representative (Appointment Setter) — Digital Marketing

About the Role
DataBlake is a results-driven digital marketing agency helping local businesses grow through PPC, SEO, AI-SEO, and website design. We’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to fuel our growth engine — finding and qualifying new local business opportunities, then booking appointments for our closing team. You won’t be expected to close deals yourself; your job is to build the pipeline and get qualified prospects on the calendar.
This is a great fit for someone who loves the hunt — prospecting, outreach, and relationship-building — without the pressure of carrying a full sales cycle.
Responsibilities
• Prospect and Generate Leads: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn/social outreach, networking, and other prospecting methods.
• Qualify Leads: Ask the right questions to confirm a prospect’s needs, budget, and timeline before booking them with a closer.
• Set Appointments: Schedule qualified sales calls/demos for DataBlake’s closing team, keeping the calendar full and appointments high-quality.
• Manage Your Pipeline: Own and maintain an organized pipeline of leads in our CRM, tracking outreach, follow-ups, and appointment status.
• Build Rapport: Make a strong first impression — you’re often the first voice a prospective client hears from DataBlake.
• Meet and Exceed Goals: Consistently hit monthly and quarterly targets for qualified appointments set.
• Stay Informed: Keep up with digital marketing trends (PPC, SEO, AI-SEO, web design) so you can speak credibly to what DataBlake offers.
Compensation
• Base salary: up to $50,000+/year (based on experience)
• Commission: Uncapped — earn on top of your base for every qualified appointment that converts to a closed deal. You will earn a 30% commission on the total sale after a new client successfully onboards with DataBlake + base salary
Requirements
• 1+ year of experience in sales, appointment setting, or SDR/BDR work — B2B preferred
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts (PPC, SEO, AI-SEO, web design) — you don’t need to be an expert, but you need to speak the language
• Comfortable talking to local business owners (contractors, med/dental, home services, etc.) about growing their business
• Excellent phone, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Experience managing a pipeline/CRM and organizing your own outreach cadence
• Comfortable with outbound prospecting (cold calling, cold email, social outreach)
