Required Education • High School Diploma or equivalent Required Experience. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • State workers’ compensation reporting and regulatory compliance • Risk management or claims management experience • Consulting or client-facing experience • Experience managing multiple deadlines and reporting schedules • Workers’ compensation self-insurance knowledge • Annual and quarterly regulatory filing experience • Microsoft Excel proficiency • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience working directly with external clients Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate has experience managing annual and quarterly state filings across multiple states within one or more of the following environments: • Employer Risk Management Department • Claims Management • Human Resources • Payroll Administration • Insurance Brokerage • Risk Management Consulting Firm • Third-Party Administrator (TPA) • State Department of Insurance or Labor Overview (Risk Management Compliance Specialist) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Risk Management Analyst to support clients with quarterly and annual state reporting requirements necessary to maintain Workers’ Compensation Qualified Self-Insurance status and compliance with state-specific regulatory and monopolistic fund requirements. This role is ideal for someone with experience in workers’ compensation, risk management, claims, payroll, HR compliance, insurance consulting, or brokerage who enjoys managing deadlines, working directly with clients, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple states. Responsibilities • Manage and maintain reporting schedules for multiple clients, entities, and states to ensure all regulatory deadlines are met • Request, collect, and review payroll records, class codes, hours worked, loss information, financial statements, actuarial reports, and other required documentation from clients, TPAs, and third parties • Proactively follow up with clients and stakeholders to obtain required information and maintain compliance with strict filing deadlines • Prepare, review, and submit required information through various state reporting portals • Guide clients through certification, submission, and approval processes within state reporting systems • Educate clients on payment requirements and compliance obligations • Maintain detailed documentation of reporting activities, correspondence, supporting documents, actuarial reports, and proof of payments • Assist clients with adding new entities to applicable state self-insurance programs • Review surety bond and security requirements for each state and coordinate updates as needed • Provide actuarial reports and supporting documentation requested by state agencies • Track multiple reporting deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and organization • Build strong working relationships with external clients while providing exceptional customer service throughout the reporting process
