Piton Labs is hiring a full‑time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone comfortable working across the entire stack, ideally with a stronger focus on back‑end development. The ideal candidate will also have solid cloud infrastructure experience. Prior startup experience—whether running your own venture or working at an early‑stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though others may be considered individually.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TECHNOLOGIES
At Piton Labs, you’ll partner with startups and larger organizations to tackle some of their toughest technical challenges. You’ll navigate the inherent ambiguity and complexity of software development, helping clients not only build their products but also determine what should be built. Instead of simply pulling tasks from a backlog, you’ll help establish priorities and focus on solving clients’ most valuable problems.
We are technology‑agnostic, but most of our projects use Typescript, React, and Go. We typically rely on AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients use other providers. You should have at least five years of experience with a major web application stack, relational databases, and a modern front‑end stack. Experience with our preferred tools is helpful but not required. You must be able to deliver reliable, well‑tested code consistently.
A typical week may involve:
• Building rich interfaces for web or mobile applications
• Designing and implementing a serverless API layer for a new web product
• Architecting and provisioning cloud infrastructure using IaC tools
• Presenting new features to client stakeholders

REMOTE WORK POLICY
