Field Marketing Specialist-East Michigan
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Marketing Specialist to support brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth across East Michigan.. This role serves as the bridge between marketing and sales, executing local marketing initiatives, coordinating events, building relationships with retail partners, and driving market penetration.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, high energy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage field and in-store marketing initiatives including: merchandising, new product asset drops, “surprise and delight”, and budtender educations.
• Complete detailed store audits: inventory, points of distribution, and opportunities for new lines and skus.
• Partner closely with sales team to identify opportunities and support account growth.
• Develop relationships with all team members at retail: marketing, inventory, store management, budtenders, etc.
• Off-site event organization and execution: this could include some nights and weekends.
• Be a direct line from the field to the head of sales—you are our eyes and ears for your assigned territory.
• Gather market intelligence, including competitor activity, customer feedback, and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, event participation, and marketing expenditures.
• Travel throughout assigned territory as needed, roughly 90% of time will be spent on the road/in shops.
Required Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
• 1–2 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, sales support, brand promotion, or related roles.
• Experience coordinating events and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Recent college graduates will be considered with relevant marketing, promotions, or internship experience.
Skills:
• OUTGOING personality that can hype up dozens of people and also thrive in intimate groups!
• You MUST LOVE talking to people and have contagious enthusiasm!
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently on the road.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, beverage, cannabis, or related industries.
• Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM systems.
• Experience with field marketing or brand ambassador programs.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and transport marketing materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during events and trade shows.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Travel Requirements:
• Up to 90% travel within assigned territory.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

• Total shop visits for the day/week/month
• Detailed shop audit reports
• Territory sales support effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits
• $50-55k annual salary
• Company vehicle provided
