Responsibilities include designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Go, optimizing database queries and schema design for PostgreSQL and Redis, ensuring system reliability through comprehensive unit and integration testing with Jest and Go testing packages, managing containerized deployments on Kubernetes clusters hosted in AWS EKS, implementing observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and structured logging, participating in code reviews and architectural discussions, mentoring junior engineers on backend best practices, and contributing to technical documentation and runbooks.
