Influencer Marketing Specialist (Temporary, Maternity Leave Coverage)

Kids Empire operates 100+ indoor playgrounds across the U.S. and is the go-to entertainment destination for families nationwide. We are seeking an Influencer Marketing Specialist to provide temporary coverage for our Community and Communications Manager during a 10-week maternity leave. This is a part-time, temporary position (freelance/contractor candidates also welcome) focused primarily on maintaining continuity of our influencer marketing program during this period, with some additional support on organic social media publishing.

Role Overview

This is a short-term, defined-duration engagement to ensure our influencer program runs smoothly while our Community and Communications Manager is out on leave. You’ll step in to manage day-to-day influencer relationships and campaign execution, and provide light support on our organic social channels, working closely with our VP of Marketing and our performance marketing agency partner.

What you’ll do

I. Influencer Program Management
• Manage our ongoing influencer program, including identifying and vetting creators, outreach, and relationship management.
• Negotiate collaboration terms and deliverables with influencers and creator agents/agencies.
• Coordinate content deliverables, timelines, and approvals with creators.
• Supervise influencer content for brand alignment, quality, and messaging consistency prior to publishing.
• Manage publishing and scheduling of influencer content across relevant channels.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for our performance marketing agency on active influencer campaigns.
• Maintain continuity with existing creator relationships and campaigns already in progress (no need to build new long-term strategy)

II. Organic Social Media Support
• Support publishing and scheduling of content on our organic social media feed, based on the existing content calendar and brand guidelines.
• Help maintain a consistent posting cadence across our social channels while the Community and Communications Manager is out.

III. Coordination & Handoff
• Check in regularly with the VP of Marketing to report on campaign status, creator activity and any open items.
• Flag any issues, risks, or opportunities that may need escalation.
• Maintain clear documentation to support a smooth handoff back to the Community and Communications Manager upon her return

Education & Experience
• 2+ years of experience managing influencer marketing programs, ideally for a consumer-facing brand (family entertainment, retail, hospitality, or similar is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with creator outreach, negotiation, and campaign coordination.
• Comfortable publishing and scheduling content on organic social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple creator relationships and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social platforms and influencer/content management or scheduling tools.
• Comfortable working independently in a temporary, part-time capacity with minimal ramp-up time.
• Available to start promptly and commit to the full duration of the leave coverage period.
