Contract: August 2026 – March 2027 (Extension Possible)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developer with strong expertise in Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) to support a large-scale application modernization initiative within the Ontario public sector. This role focuses on upgrading and modernizing business-critical Oracle applications, including cloud migration and platform enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Oracle APEX.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
• Develop and optimize Oracle database objects using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Analyze legacy applications and recommend modern solution architecture improvements.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform performance tuning, and provide post-implementation support.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer activities.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in an Agile/Kanban environment.
• Ensure applications comply with security best practices and AODA accessibility standards.
• Support cloud-based deployments using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Must-Have Qualifications
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
• Strong experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and REST API development.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web technologies.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of application security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
