Pacer Group is seeking an elite Senior Mainframe Hogan Developer for a long-term hybrid engagement across several major financial hub locations. The selected architect will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing core banking applications, specifically leveraging strong domain expertise within the Hogan ODS and PAS modules.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and implement core banking solutions utilizing the Hogan framework, specifically focusing on ODS and PAS modules
• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into highly efficient Mainframe code (COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2)
• Perform root-cause analysis, production support mapping, and rigorous testing for high-volume financial transaction processing systems
• Collaborate with technical leads, systems architects, and business stakeholders across various hub locations to ensure seamless system integrations
• Maintain high standards of documentation, code governance, and compliance regularities essential to the banking ecosystem
Skills
• Extensive hands-on experience as a Mainframe Hogan Developer
• Deep technical expertise in Hogan Online Delivery System (ODS) module
• Deep technical expertise in Hogan Core Banking Applications / Umbrella (PAS) module
• Strong mainframe technical stack proficiency (COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2)
• Robust analytical, debugging, and systems troubleshooting capabilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical designs to cross-functional teams
• Experience working within large-scale commercial banking or financial services hubs
• Familiarity with financial core deposit or ledger processing systems
• ~7 to 12 years of professional software engineering experience
