Redtech is helping our CLIENT with a Contractor search for an Application Developer with strong C#, ASP.NET, MVC.
Approx start date – August 2026
Duration – through 7/30/2027
Work Schedule options, Location & Travel Expectations
Work is 100% remote from anywhere in the US – occasional travel in WA state is rare but possible
Schedule options are –
Monday through Friday (5/8’s) or Monday through Thursday (4/10’s), forty (40) hours per week.
Standard operating hours – Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 PM Pacific Time or Monday through Thursday (4/10’s), 6:00 am to 4:30 PM Pacific Time. If work location is not within Pacific time some, options for flex schedule but ensuring at least six hours a day aligning with CLIENT’s standard operating hours
Eligibility – We are not able to offer any type of sponsorship. No 3rd party candidates
Contract Pay Rate – $60-70/hr W2 DOE – rate range assumes full benefits participation, if benefits are not needed the rate can be increased

Project Description and Background
CLIENT’s Traffic Sign Management System (TSMS) inventories all the signs installed by the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Traffic Office on Washington State Routes. The TSMS system supports CLIENT’s management of assets and multimodal investments. The current application is no longer suitable for users due to age and stability of the current system.
This contract position will work with the Traffic Office and the Technology Services Division’s (TSD) Application Modernization Team under the Enterprise Applications Modernization team to modernize the TSMS application to a cloud-first web application.
This contract position serves as an Application Developer, working independently and with others to analyze, design, develop, and test a new TSMS application for CLIENT.
The duties include application development, database design, data schema mapping, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in an iterative and interactive style of development.
Mandatory Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field and/or 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience developing applications
• 4+ years of experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC architecture pattern, and Entity Framework
• 4+ years of experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, Reporting Services
• Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
• Experience using/knowledge of Azure DevOps including source control, code review, build and release pipelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
• Experience developing with jQuery, Knockout, Bootstrap or Vue.js
• Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment
• Proven track record of organizing and managing complex data projects from planning through execution
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills
