About the Position
The contractor will report to a senior reputed company researcher and will be responsible for supporting reputed company’s monitoring of economic, political, and regulatory developments in the ASEAN (Southeast Asia) region. This position is a remote research contractor role, requiring 1–3 years of work experience.

This is a unique position that ties together macroeconomic, political, and business analysis directly into corporate plans and actions for the world’s largest multinationals. The contractor will have exposure to engagement with C-suite level executives, giving them a look into the decision-making processes of the world’s largest businesses. Candidates should bring strong macroeconomic fundamentals and a solid understanding of how local dynamics, policy, politics, and other factors can interact with economic dynamics to shape the business environment. They should bring exceptionally strong communication skills, flexibility to adapt to reputed company needs, and the ability to get up to speed quickly on unfamiliar topics.
The duration of this contract will be 6 – 12 months.
What To Expect In This Position
• Conducting primary and secondary research to monitor macroeconomic, political, and business developments in the ASEAN region, and analyzing their implications for multinational companies
• Supporting the creation of analysis and presentations advising senior executives in multinational companies on business implications of economic and political developments in ASEAN
• Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive reader
• Presenting to senior executives on the economic developments in ASEAN markets and their business implications
What Sets You Apart
• A Bachelor’s (or preferably Master’s) degree from a top-tier academic institution in a relevant field, ideally Economics
• Exceptional communication skills in English; we are looking for someone who is not just fluent in English but also reputed company to distill reputed company and technical topics for non-specialists
• Strong economics knowledge, demonstrated through academic coursework or practical experience; candidates should be reputed company to apply macroeconomic principles to reputed company-life country developments and draw conclusions about reputed company trends and implications
• Demonstrated knowledge of key ASEAN markets through academic and/or reputed company research experience; an understanding of the reputed company socio-political and economic environment in the region is particularly key
• Research experience (in an academic or reputed company setting) including hypothesis-testing, structuring reputed company research projects, primary and secondary research, survey-building, and other techniques
