The role involves assisting with audits, preparing financial statements, and supporting nonprofit audit engagements under the supervision of Audit Seniors and Managers.ResponsibilitiesAssist with audits, reviews, and compilations under supervision of Audit Seniors and ManagersParticipate in nonprofit and not-for-profit audit engagementsPrepare and organize audit work papers and supporting documentationAssist with preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosuresSupport audit planning, budgets, and engagement administration activitiesSupport preparation of Form 990 information returns for nonprofit organizationsResearch accounting and audit concepts and communicate findings appropriatelyBuild and maintain strong client and internal relationshipsCommunicate engagement status and issues effectivelyParticipate in training and ongoing professional developmentSkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting completed prior to employment start dateCPA certification in progress, actively pursuing CPA, or clear intention to pursue CPA designationUp to 3 years of public accounting experience and/or relevant public accounting internship experienceExposure to nonprofit organizations, nonprofit accounting, nonprofit audits, or Form 990-related workWorking knowledge of GAAP, audit procedures, and financial reporting principles with strong communication and organizational skillsCPA certification or active CPA candidate status strongly preferredPublic accounting internship experienceExperience supporting nonprofit organizations or nonprofit audit engagementsExperience with Form 990 preparationExposure to nonprofit reporting requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical and research capabilitiesBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceRetirement PlansHybrid work structureMonthly office travel requiredMandatory in-office onboarding and trainingCollaborative team environmentStrong mentorship and career growth opportunitiesCompany OverviewVeeRteq Solutions LLC is a leading global IT consulting and services company with offices in the US (Delaware) & Canada (British Columbia & Alberta).
