Role Description The Instructional Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing and developing learning content that supports HOLT CAT’s workforce performance and technical knowledge. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with subject matter experts to translate complex equipment, service, and safety concepts into engaging training materials, e-learning modules, and job aids. The role involves building and maintaining curricula in the learning management system, ensuring courses are well-structured, accessible, and aligned with business goals. The Instructional Developer will write and edit clear instructional content, update existing training to reflect new products and processes, and measure learning effectiveness through feedback and performance data. This position works closely with training and operations teams to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality learning experiences across the organization.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess skills in Instructional Design and Curriculum Development for creating effective, learner-focused training programs.
• Candidates should possess skills in Technical Writing to produce clear, accurate documentation, modules, and job aids for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Candidates should possess skills in Training & Development to support implementation, facilitation, and continuous improvement of learning initiatives.
• Candidates should possess skills in Learning Management for administering, organizing, and tracking courses in a learning management system (LMS).
• Relevant qualifications include experience developing digital and blended learning, familiarity with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, or similar), and strong attention to detail.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in industrial or heavy equipment environments, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is preferred.
