This position is ideal for a detail-oriented developer with COBOL expertise who enjoys solving reputed company production issues and enhancing system performance.
Responsibilities
• Write, debug, document, and test COBOL/DB2/CICS programs in a mainframe environment
• Analyze and resolve production issues
• Create detailed system design documents for system enhancement projects
• Assist senior application developers in large, reputed company development projects
• Maintain technical documentation
Skills
• Experience, education, or training in coding computer applications
• Associate’s degree in computer programming or similar area
• Experience developing and testing COBOL programs
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with JCL and CICS
• Experience with the software development lifecycle
