The Associate Vice President, Finance Product leads the design and optimization of Finance planning capabilities, collaborating with Financial Planning & Analysis to implement scalable solutions for budgeting and forecasting.ResponsibilitiesServe as Finance’s senior product leader for planning and decision support capabilities, acting as the primary intake point for Financial Planning & Analysis requirements related to budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, allocations, and scenario analysisPartner closely with Financial Planning & Analysis leadership to understand business needs and priorities, while maintaining clear separation between planning enablement and ownership of forecasts, targets, and financial narrativesLead evaluation, rationalization, and optimization of Finance planning and analytics tools, including identifying opportunities to reduce duplication and better leverage existing vendor platformsTranslate Financial Planning & Analysis and Finance leadership requirements into scalable system configurations, workflows, and product enhancements aligned with the Finance Systems roadmapCollaborate with the VP, Head of Finance Systems, to prioritize Finance product initiatives and ensure alignment with broader Finance technology and transformation strategiesCoordinate Finance Systems with IT, data teams, and external vendors to deliver integrated, reliable, and well governed Finance solutionsEstablish and maintain governance, standards, and documentation for Finance planning capabilities to ensure consistency, transparency, and audit readinessDrive simplification and standardization of planning processes by improving system utilization and reducing manual or fragmented approachesOversee and develop teams responsible for Finance product management, planning enablement, and related analytical capabilitiesLead change management, training, and adoption efforts to ensure Finance systems and tools are effectively used by Financial Planning & Analysis and Finance stakeholdersMonitor effectiveness of Finance planning solutions and recommend continuous improvements based on user feedback and business needsPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required10–12 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, finance transformation, Finance systems, or related roles5+ years of experience leading Finance planning enablement, product management, analytics, or systems‑supported initiativesFamiliarity with automation tools and data‑driven planning approaches using SQL and Python in Microsoft FabricDemonstrated experience partnering with senior Finance leaders and supporting enterprise‑level planning processesDeep experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and financial modelingExperience supporting planning processes in complex or multi‑stakeholder finance environmentsUnderstanding of workforce planning and allocation methodologiesStrong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to translate planning requirements into practical, scalable solutionsAdvanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferredBenefitsCompetitive Total Rewards package, including base pay, incentive programs, benefits, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributionsFlexible and hybrid work schedules to support work-life balanceTuition reimbursement to support continued educationProfessional and career development opportunities, including courses and certificationsComprehensive wellness programs promoting physical, mental, and emotional healthVolunteerism initiatives to encourage community engagementCompany OverviewSince its founding in 1972, MissionSquare has remained dedicated to helping individuals and their families build financial security.
