[Remote] Revenue Operations Manager (Law Firm)

Walsworth LLP is a 60+ attorney law firm with offices in California, and they are seeking a full-time, fully-remote Revenue Operations Manager to join their Finance team. The role focuses on overseeing the firm’s revenue cycle, legal billing, collections, and finance systems while collaborating with various stakeholders to maximize revenue and ensure compliance.ResponsibilitiesManage the Firm’s billing, collections, cash applications, write-offs, and accounts receivable processesOversee monthly billing cycles and ensure client invoices are accurate, timely, and compliant with client guidelinesMonitor aged receivables and implement collection strategies to improve cash flowManage e-billing platforms, invoice submissions, appeals, and payment trackingPartner with attorneys and staff to resolve billing disputes, payment issues, and improve realization ratesManage complex insurance defense billing and ensure compliance with carrier billing guidelines and UTBMS coding requirementsReview billing reductions, rejections, and appeals to maximize reimbursement and revenue recoveryAssist with the Firm’s day-to-day accounting operations, including client-related accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end closingSupport the Accounting Director with financial reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, month-end close activities, and account reconciliationsMaintain accurate financial records and support internal control proceduresIdentify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficienciesWith the Accounting Manager, provide leadership, training, and support to accounting and billing staff while fostering a collaborative team environmentPartner with the Accounting Director, Firm Leadership, and department managers to support financial and revenue objectivesActively participate in Firm-wide financial initiatives and contribute recommendations to improve revenue cycle performance and operational efficiencySkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum of 7 years of accounting, billing, or revenue management experience in a law firmMinimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing accounting, billing, or revenue staffStrong knowledge of legal billing, collections, trust accounting, and law firm financial operationsExcellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExtensive experience with complex insurance defense billing and e-billing systems, including BillBlastAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial reporting abilitiesExperience with Aderant Expert or other legal accounting softwareBenefitsPerformance-based bonusesCompany OverviewWalsworth was founded over 35 years ago based on a sincere commitment to leveraging our experience, resources, and perspectives to meet our clients’ individualized and evolving needs at all stages of a legal challenge.
