We’re working with a leading public health division dedicated to preventing chronic diseases and injuries, seeking to enhance their digital presence and community engagement.
The Role
• Build and secure the back-end of a high-impact WordPress site.
• Develop and maintain WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement solutions that adhere to security and accessibility best practices (WCAG AA standards).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet design, content, and UX standards.
• Partner with non-technical stakeholders to evaluate and implement new website features.
• Perform ongoing website maintenance, including core, theme, and plugin updates.
What You’ll Need
• Three or more years of experience in systems analysis, programming, and design.
• Extensive coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Strong understanding of design and accessibility principles.
• Familiarity with performance, scalability, security, and testing applications.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical details to general audiences.
• A collaborative and relationship-building approach to teamwork.
