They are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to manage day-to-day financial practices for their federal government contracting portfolio, ensuring compliance with DCAA and FAR guidelines while optimizing profitability.ResponsibilitiesMonitor our day-to-day accounting activities to ensure they align with DCAA, FAR, and GAAP guidelines. You’ll assist the Controller with preparation for DCAA audits (including Incurred Cost Submissions) and help gather documentation for external auditorsManage multi-state payroll processing for our federal projects, ensuring alignment with labor regulations (SCA/Davis-Bacon) and making sure labor hours are accurately mapped to the right project codesHandle project-level accounting for contract types like CPFF, CPAF, and FFP. You’ll partner closely with Project Managers to track actuals against budgets, submit invoices through government portals (WAWF/PIEE), and calculate revenue recognitionSupport the month-end and year-end close processes.
