Role Description
Falmouth University is currently seeking an ambitious and energetic Lecturer and practitioner to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our course MA Marketing and Digital Communication (Online).
You will be responsible to the Course Leader and will support the Course Leader in:
•
Design and delivery of modules and assessment
•
Coordinating teaching/support delivered by its staff
The Course is designed to develop marketing and digital communications practitioners, who can meet the demands of a global and digitally transformed marketplace, with innovative flair and creative problem-solving.
Key aspects of the course include:
•
‘Learning by doing’ principle for all learning and assessment
•
Students bring professional experience, cultural knowledge, and real work projects into their studies
•
Wide-ranging coursework: reports, campaigns, concepts, new emerging technologies, global trends, consumer behaviour responses, and data-driven marketing ideas
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
•
Working with the Online Team and Digital Learning to design and develop academic content for the MA’s modules
•
Conducting assessment and feedback
•
Delivering learning design and quality assurance
•
Managing tutors
•
Monitoring and supporting
•
Deputising for the Course Leader, where needed
Qualifications
•
Experience in teaching in academia at HE level
•
Proven ability to inspire students through innovative and online pedagogies
•
Specialist insight and professional expertise in marketing, problem-solving, and strategic planning
•
Highly organized with efficient time management skills
•
Experience in producing asynchronously online learning materials
•
Confidence in using virtual learning environments
•
Up-to-date awareness of current trends, theories, and critical debates in contemporary marketing and the digital media landscape
•
Strong CV as a marketer and/or academic, potentially including research
•
Good network of professionals in the marketing communications industry
•
Outstanding educator, practitioner, and communicator
•
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
•
Comprehensive and current knowledge of marketing communications
•
Experience and engagement in curriculum development and quality assurance processes
•
Demonstrable professional practice and/or Knowledge Transfer
•
Strong relationships with industry and ability to develop partnerships, projects, and employment opportunities for staff and students
