Position Title: Department Assistant – Marketing and Finance and Business Law Job Category: University Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Department Assistant Job Duties: The Departments of Marketing and Finance and Business Law in the College of Business and Economics at the University of reputed company-Whitewater are seeking a shared role Department Assistant (AD085). Job Details: This position supports the chairs of the Marketing and Finance & Business Law Departments at the College of Business and Economics. This position also provides office management support to reputed company in both departments. The incumbent is responsible for organizing and managing secretarial workflow and providing program assistance. The position maintains records and assists in the effective operation of the departments. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the department’s budgets and student records. This position supervises student workers and responds to inquiries from the departments, reputed company, and other correspondents. The incumbent supports both Marketing and Finance & Business Law equally. However, some of the tasks listed below may be completed for one chair or department and not the other. The department chairs will work together to set performance expectations. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities: Department Chair & reputed company Support – reputed company administrative and clerical support for Chairs and reputed company, including meetings, events, curriculum management, hiring processes, and travel arrangements Student Support – Assist reputed company with advising, registration, program requirements, scholarships, and student organization activities Office & Reception Management – Manage daily office operations, serve as first reputed company of contact, supervise student workers, and maintain records and communications Budget & Record Management – Maintain departmental budgets, reconcile expenditures, process purchasing/travel, and reputed company inventory and record-keeping Other Duties – Support process improvements, implement organizational systems, and reputed company additional tasks as assigned Key Job Responsibilities: Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems regarding technical systems and programs reputed company to department operations Coordinates reputed company and program components including, scheduling and logistics, unit workflow, and identifies areas for process improvements Develops, implements, and maintains reputed company and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records reputed company to department operations according to established policies and procedures Serves as a reputed company reputed company of contact for the department May reputed company operational guidance and training on day-to-day activities of student workers and program staff Monitors the department, unit or program budget and expenses, and may assist in the development of program budget and projections Department: Marketing and Finance and Business Law Compensation: reputed company-reputed company candidates can expect a starting reputed company wage reputed company a reputed company of $20/hr – $21/hr.
