We are sharing a specialised full-time opportunity for Software Engineers with strong expertise in full-stack development, internal platforms, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based systems to build and improve production infrastructure supporting complex operational and technical workflows.
Selected professionals will contribute to and progressively take ownership of internal tools, services, APIs, and workflows that support core business operations, products, and AI-driven infrastructure. The role combines frontend and backend engineering, database design, platform reliability, developer experience, and close collaboration across product, operations, and design teams.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Platform Development
•
Design and develop end-to-end full-stack systems supporting critical internal workflows and platform capabilities
•
Build scalable backend services and APIs with clear interfaces and ownership
•
Develop high-quality, performant frontend applications for internal teams and stakeholders
•
Translate ambiguous operational and product requirements into reliable technical systems
•
Contribute to systems across the full lifecycle from design through implementation and production support
Backend, APIs & Data Systems
•
Build backend services using Node.js and modern TypeScript-based frameworks
•
Design and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed system integrations
•
Contribute to relational data modelling, schema design, and query optimisation
•
Work with PostgreSQL and comparable relational database technologies
•
Improve backend maintainability, scalability, and reliability as platform requirements evolve
Frontend Engineering & Internal Tooling
•
Develop internal interfaces using React or comparable frontend frameworks
•
Build workflows that improve operational efficiency and usability for internal teams
•
Apply strong frontend engineering principles across performance, maintainability, and component design
•
Contribute to internal developer platforms, operational tooling, and workflow automation where relevant
•
Ensure frontend systems integrate reliably with backend services and internal data sources
Platform Reliability & Engineering Quality
•
Improve platform observability, reliability, and developer experience
•
Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous engineering improvement
•
Debug and resolve production issues while improving long-term operational resilience
•
Make pragmatic trade-offs between development speed, scalability, and maintainability
•
Support monitoring, deployment, and infrastructure practices that improve platform stability
Ideal Profile
•
Experience building or contributing to production full-stack systems through professional work, internships, or substantial projects
•
Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend, backend, or both
•
Familiarity with backend development using Node.js, with NestJS experience advantageous
•
Experience building user interfaces with React or comparable frontend frameworks
•
Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and core data-modelling principles
•
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed system communication patterns
•
Exposure to AWS or another major cloud platform
•
Awareness of modern architectural approaches including microservices, serverless systems, or event-driven architectures
•
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
•
Comfortable operating in ambiguous and fast-moving technical environments
•
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or DevOps workflows is advantageous
•
Experience building internal developer platforms, operational tooling, or workflow automation systems is beneficial
•
Exposure to AI-adjacent, data-heavy, or machine-learning-powered products is advantageous
•
Experience within startup, research, lab, or high-growth engineering environments is beneficial
•
Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and platform-reliability best practices is strongly valued

Compensation: $200,000–$280,000/year
•
Work will span full-stack engineering, internal platform development, backend services, React interfaces, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure
•
Responsibilities will include production-system development, reliability, data modelling, and internal workflow optimisation
•
Collaboration will involve product, operations, design, and other engineering stakeholders
•
Technical priorities, platform requirements, and internal workflows may evolve as organisational needs develop
