Sr. Proposal Writer

We are partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Senior Proposal Writer to lead the development of high-quality, compliant proposals supporting strategic business growth initiatives. This role will collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to create compelling proposal content for complex government contracting opportunities.

This is a fully remote opportunity (EST or CST preferred) offering a competitive compensation package and the chance to play a key role in a high-performing proposal management team.

Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end proposal development process for government contract opportunities, including RFIs, RFPs, proposal submissions, and related deliverables.
• Develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, and management plans to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
• Write, edit, and refine proposal narratives, executive summaries, technical responses, staffing plans, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information, validate content, and ensure proposal accuracy.
• Review solicitation requirements and monitor amendments, Q&A responses, and other procurement communications.
• Manage proposal content libraries, templates, and reusable materials to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance, accuracy, formatting consistency, and overall proposal quality.
• Partner with graphic design and content teams to develop compelling proposal visuals and presentations.
• Facilitate proposal meetings, reviews, and status updates throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Leverage proposal best practices, process improvements, and emerging technologies to enhance win strategies and proposal effectiveness.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience supporting federal government proposal development and management.
• Demonstrated success managing large, complex government contract proposals.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and proposal compliance requirements.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and document management skills.
• Experience utilizing structured proposal development methodologies, including Shipley-based processes preferred.
• Healthcare, healthcare services, or related regulated industry experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with GovDocs or similar proposal management platforms.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and collaboration technologies to support proposal development.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 annually plus a variable percentage bonus.
