Workiva Financial Consultant
Contract | Remote | France or UK based
We are supporting a leading global fintech with the appointment of a Financial Consultant into a fast-paced project supporting the launch of a new banking license.
Sitting at the intersection of French GAAP financial reporting, systems build-out and tax, this role will take ownership of setting up statutory financial statement reporting within Workiva as part of a high-profile, time-critical launch.
This is a high-visibility position for someone who enjoys building from the ground up: setting up robust reporting structures, applying automation and AI tools, and ensuring financial statements meet French GAAP requirements to a high standard.
The Role
You will act as a financial reporting lead on this project, partnering closely with finance, tax and systems stakeholders to deliver a compliant, well-structured reporting build.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Set up and prepare statutory financial statements under French GAAP within Workiva.
• Configure and manage Workiva workflows, templates, user roles and reporting structures.
• Manage or support statutory audits, ensuring timely, accurate completion ahead of deadlines.
• Lead or support tax reviews and compliance, including corporation tax and VAT.
• Partner with finance and systems teams to ensure the Workiva build reflects accounting and regulatory requirements correctly.
• Apply automation and AI tools (e.g. Python, Power BI, Alteryx, Copilot/LLMs) to streamline reporting and reduce manual work.
• Support testing, training and rollout of the finished reporting setup.
What we’re looking For
We are looking for someone who combines strong French GAAP fundamentals with genuine, hands-on Workiva experience.
You will ideally bring:
• Qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CPA, DSCG, DEC, Expert Comptable or equivalent).
• Hands-on Workiva or Wdesk experience: ideally having built out financial statement reporting, not just administered the platform.
• Strong French GAAP knowledge and statutory reporting/audit experience.
• Tax compliance experience (corporation tax, VAT or similar).
• Immediate availability or short notice.
• Scripting or automation skills (Python, Power BI, Alteryx) and an interest in applying AI to reporting workflows would be advantageous.
