Job Title: Business & Financial Operations Specialist (Business Analyst)
Location: Cambridge, MA (fully remote; must work/live in MA)
Contract: 6 Months of contract
About the Role
We are seeking a Business & Financial Operations Specialist with a strong background in finance and revenue operations to support and optimize day-to-day business processes. This role covers both business and financial operations and works across cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency and support business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate can bridge operations, finance, and revenue-generating functions while supporting scalable business processes in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze, define, and document business requirements.
• Assist with business case development and analyze current-state people, process, and product.
• Elicit requirements and critical success factors for an improved future state.
• Translate and simplify requirements for stakeholders.
• Develop conceptual or graphic prototypes and mockups.
• Design or review test cases, process change requests, and manage project scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment.
• Design scenario-based test plans to validate solutions against requirements and usability.
• Serve as a subject matter expert supporting training and communications.
• Support business and financial operations, including process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support scalable business processes.
• Support Revenue Operations (RevOps) initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong business operations and finance experience.
• Revenue Operations (RevOps) expertise.
• Experience supporting both B2B and B2C e-commerce environments.
• Ability to streamline processes and help business functions run smoothly.
• Advanced business and technical writing skills.
• Process modeling and cost-benefit analysis experience.
• Understanding of systems engineering and change management concepts.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, including process flow diagramming.
• Ability to bridge operations, finance, and revenue-generating functions.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA and/or CBAP certification.
• Experience with Salesforce and Oracle.
• Background in financial operations and business process optimization.
