This role involves managing complex SaaS contracts, overseeing collections, and ensuring efficient cash realization while collaborating with various departments to enhance operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOwn global billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice generation aligned with contract terms, pricing structures, and booking policiesManage the end-to-end invoicing lifecycle post-Closed Won, including billing setup, validation, and deliveryEnsure alignment across Salesforce, contract terms, and NetSuite to minimize downstream errors and revenue impactServe as the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, disputes, and exceptionsLead collections processes, including AR aging, follow-ups, and dispute resolutionMonitor and drive performance against key metrics such as DSO, past due balances, and collection effectivenessEnsure timely and accurate cash application and reconciliationLead and own month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and revenue flux commentaryPerform and review contract analyses under ASC 606, including assessment of performance obligations, variable consideration, SSP allocation, and pricing changesStay current on ASC 606/IFRS15 and related US GAAP authoritative literature; perform and document technical accounting research as neededServe as the primary billing-to-revenue liaison, ensuring contract setup and billing schedules align with recognition requirements and downstream reportingAct as a key escalation resource for revenue accounting, process, and deal-related issues across the Company’s products, pricing, and non-routine transactionsSupport annual SSP analysis and allocation for multi-element arrangements in partnership with the Director of Revenue AccountingManage deal review and pre-booking validation by flagging billing structures that may impact revenue recognition outcomesOwn and continuously improve billing, AR, and Revenue processes to driving scalability and efficiencyIdentify and implement automation opportunities across systems and workflowsStandardize processes across regions, entities, and customer segmentsEnsure billing, AR, and Revenue processes are SOX-compliant and audit-readyOwn execution and documentation of key billing and AR controlsSupport external audits, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue resolutionMaintain compliance with global tax, invoicing, and regulatory requirementsLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing teamEstablish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectationsDrive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focusSkills7+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue accounting, or finance operations, preferably in SaaS or technology3+ years of people management experience or team leadership experienceStrong Order to Cash & Revenue Accounting experienceStrong experience with NetSuite and SalesforceExperience with automation, AI, or process improvement initiativesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with marketplace billing (AWS, Azure) and third-party invoicing tools (e.g., Coupa, Ariba)Exposure to Government portal WAAF, including tax and multi-entity environmentsBenefitsIncentive compensationEquityMedical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401KCompany OverviewRecorded Future provides threat intelligence for proactive cybersecurity and risk management.
