Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Drafter with Siemens NX experience to support the creation, revision, and maintenance of engineering drawings and 3D models. The role involves developing manufacturing documentation, maintaining configuration-controlled drawing packages, supporting design reviews and engineering changes, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.ResponsibilitiesCreate and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using Siemens NXGenerate detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOMs)Interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and design conceptsMaintain drawing packages and configuration-controlled documentationEnsure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards, tolerances, and engineering requirementsSupport design reviews and incorporate engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs)Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and systems engineering teamsCreate exploded views, assembly instructions, and technical documentation as neededPerform drawing checks for completeness, accuracy, and consistencySkillsBachelor’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field4+ years of drafting/design experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, or engineering environmentProficiency with Siemens NX CAD softwareExperience creating detailed mechanical drawings and assembly documentationUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirementsFamiliarity with revision control and engineering change processesExperience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or industrial equipment programsKnowledge of PDM/PLM systems such as TeamcenterExperience working in a highly regulated engineering environmentExposure to sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, and complex assembliesCompany OverviewInsight Global provides top talent and staffing solutions that help job seekers find careers in healthcare, finance, IT, and government.
