The role supports year-end bookkeeping, monthly closes, and individual and business tax return preparation during tax season in a fully remote capacity. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S) Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely tax filings Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) Maintain high attention to detail under tight deadlines Skills 2+ years in public accounting or tax preparation Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax code Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Strong communication skills and proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms CPA designation or progress toward CPA Benefits 100% Remote Immediate start through the end of tax season (April 2026) Company Overview NorthPoint Search Group’s Executive support division offers diverse specialty areas and focuses on the direct hire, project and temporary placement of professionals at all levels across all industries.
