Full Stack Java Developer – Telematics Technology £400 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | 6-Month Initial Contract | Extension Likely
We’re working with an innovative and rapidly growing telematics technology business that is expanding its engineering team and looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join them on an exciting long-term project. This is a 6-month initial contract with a strong likelihood of extension, offering the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-based technology within a business that is continuing to grow. The role is fully remote, with candidates based in the North West particularly encouraged to apply.
The Technology
You’ll be working across a modern technology stack, including Java, Micronaut, Kafka, Angular and AWS, with a strong focus on scalable, event-driven applications and modern engineering practices.
The business is also embracing AI-assisted development, making experience with tools such as Claude Code particularly valuable.
What we’re looking for
Essential:
Strong commercial experience with Java
Experience with Micronaut – strong Spring Boot experience will also be considered
Experience with data streaming, ideally Kafka
Strong Angular experience
Good hands-on experience with AWS
Proven experience using AI-assisted coding tools and techniques, particularly Claude Code
Desirable:
Terraform
Cucumber or similar automated testing frameworks
CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
