The Senior Tax Accountant will prepare and review complex tax returns, perform tax planning and research, manage accounting data, and provide advisory support while building strong client relationships.ResponsibilitiesPrepare complex individual and business tax returns (Both Corporations and Partnerships) including multi-state filingsPerform tax planning and estimate calculationsConduct tax research and apply findings to client situationsProvide initial review of tax returns and ensure technical accuracyManage monthly accounting and financial data for select clientsReconcile financial statements and maintain accurate financial recordsEnter and analyze financial data in Excel and other toolsCommunicate directly with clients regarding day-to-day tax and accounting mattersSupport advisory and consulting engagementsContribute to the development of process improvements and efficient workflowsCollaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client serviceSkills3+ years of public accounting experience in taxStrong technical knowledge of tax compliance and planningProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with QuickBooks Desktop and OnlineAbility to translate financial and tax information into clear insights for clientsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)Experience with CCH Axcess and Engagement is a plusSuccessful remote working arrangements is a plusBenefitsFully paid medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insuranceRemote office environment401(k) with profit sharingPaid parental leaveGenerous vacation, sick, and flex timeSummer Fridays!Maximum 50 hour work weeks during busy season (Mid January through April)New business and employee referral bonusesOpportunities for career growth and leadershipCompany OverviewWe have set out on a journey to reimagine the CPA Firm.
