We’re working with a team seeking a hands-on Lead Java Engineer to guide software modernisation and support other engineers.
The Role
• Lead application design, development and modernisation using Java and Spring Boot.
• Shape technical approaches and architecture for secure, maintainable software.
• Mentor engineers and uphold development and testing standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage delivery priorities and technical risks.
What You’ll Need
• Strong commercial Java leadership experience and extensive Spring Boot application and API experience.
• Experience with automated testing and software engineering best practices.
• Proven Agile team leadership, architectural decision-making and mentoring skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.
What’s On Offer
• An initial 5 month contract with very good prospects for extension.
• Remote working with occasional travel to Telford.
