Role Description

We’re seeking a part-time accountant who understands the unique accounting and financial reporting needs of production companies.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with film or television production companies and feel comfortable communicating directly with clients, providing accounting guidance, and supporting their financial operations.

This is a flexible, remote opportunity with the potential to grow as we expand our entertainment client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee accounting activities for entertainment and production clients.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Assist with production budgets, cost tracking, and expense reporting.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Monitor production-related expenditures and provide financial insights.
• Communicate directly with clients and participate in financial review meetings.
• Collaborate with our internal accounting team to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, including direct experience with film, television, or production companies.
• Strong understanding of production accounting, budgeting, and cost reporting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; experience with entertainment-specific accounting systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Los Angeles-based candidates are preferred, particularly those available for occasional in-person client meetings.
