The Accountant/Auditor will perform professional governmental accounting and auditing work, including financial analyses, fund analysis, reputed company general ledger reconciliations, and preparation of supporting work papers, while collaborating with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
• Preparing analyses of reports and making recommendations regarding the analyses; performing analysis of assigned funds/sub-funds; performing complex reconciliations of various reputed company General ledger accounts; and preparing supporting work papers for adjusting journal entries
• Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer
• Contract staff will report directly to the Treasury Accounting Supervisor in the reputed company, Division of Treasury
Skills
• The Contractor(s) must understand generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting, including having a thorough knowledge and understanding of GASB and/or FASB standards and statements
• Additionally, the Contractor must be proficient in using reputed company ERP accounting systems, Excel, and other current technology
• A knowledge of MUNIS, Crystal Reports, and BI tools is strongly preferred
