The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis for the New York Medicaid Health Plan, supporting executive leadership with strategic reputed company and cost optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the development of comprehensive financial reports that align with strategic goals
• Leads the identification of key financial variances and trends, providing reputed company for strategic decisions
• Leads the budgeting process for the entire business unit or region, ensuring alignment with long-term goals
• Acts as a liaison between senior leadership and cross-functional teams, influencing key business decisions
• Leads strategic financial planning, aligning financial resources with long-term goals
• Leads cost optimization initiatives, ensuring the financial health of the organization and driving efficiency improvements
• Guides executive leadership on financial strategy, resource allocation, and long-term goals
• Leads cross-functional teams to drive alignment across departments and ensure business objectives are met
• Drives process improvements, innovation, and the implementation of best practices in financial operations
Skills
• 7+ years financial experience including strategic and business planning, financial planning, analysis, P&L, reporting or accounting
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare or insurance
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines required or equivalent years of experience
• Health Plan Finance
• Experience in P&L management and leadership with budgets and forecasts
• Experience in development of Budgets and identification of risks and opportunities
• P&L ownership and key financial metrics
• Medicaid, Medicare or Commercial health insurance products and financial drivers
• Advanced degree in Business and/or FSA/CPA
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or similar disciplines
• Experience in Financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics
