Job Title : Java Developer
Industry : Retail / Supply Chain
Focus : strong in AWS, Springboot and kafka,Java 21, Microservices, Docker, CloudFormation, Maven, CI/CD, TDD and DevOps.
Location : London or Coventry (Remote with occasional Office Visits)
Duration : 12 Months Initially
More about the role:
• Write well-structured clean code
• Create supporting infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to deploy your code into the cloud
• Create automated tests including unit tests
• Employ agile ways of working to discover, assess and build products, collaborating through scrum and pairing
What we’re looking for:
• Good experience of writing clean code using Java 21+ with tools and frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Maven
• Candidate with experience with technologies such as AWS, Docker & CloudFormation
• Experience with messaging system, preferably Kafka
• Experience with Microservices/microservice architecture
• Excellent experience of writing automated tests (TDD)
• A belief in a DevOps culture as we build and own the entire stack, and endeavour to automate as much as possible
• Candidates who can demonstrate and promote positive attitudes and behaviours, such as collaboration, learning, sharing, respect and motivation
