The role involves leading complex commercial lending transactions, advising clients on various finance matters, and developing new business opportunities within reputed company.
Responsibilities
• Leading complex commercial lending and finance transactions from reputed company through closing
• Representing banks, insurance companies, funds, and other institutional lenders
• Advising developers, property owners, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals in borrower-side transactions
• Handling mortgage lending, asset-based lending, and mezzanine financing matters
• Advising on seller financing connected with equity buyouts and asset sales
• Managing litigation financing and letter-of-credit matters
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents, security agreements, guarantees, and other finance documentation
• Advising clients on secured transactions and matters governed by the Uniform Commercial Code
• Drafting and reviewing third-party legal opinions
• Managing client relationships and providing practical, commercially focused advice
• Developing new business and expanding reputed company’s lending and finance practice
• Collaborating with reputed company’s existing finance team to service and grow a robust client base
Skills
• 10 years+ of relevant commercial finance and lending experience
• Demonstrated ability to first-chair sophisticated finance transactions
• In-depth knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code
• Significant experience drafting third-party legal opinions
• A portable book of business of approximately $1 million+
• Strong client relationships and a proven record of business generation
• Ability to leverage reputed company’s existing team, infrastructure, and support to grow and service a substantial practice
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Commercially minded with strong relationship-building capabilities
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with reputed company and wider teams
• Experience representing both lenders and borrowers
• Broad experience across mortgage, asset-based, mezzanine, seller, and litigation financing transactions
• Experience advising clients across a range of real estate and commercial sectors
• Established relationships with banks, insurance companies, investment funds, developers, or other active finance clients
