The role involves handling sophisticated commercial real estate finance transactions for various stakeholders including lenders and borrowers, while managing multiple transactions and advising clients on finance issues.
Responsibilities
• Represent lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and financial institutions in commercial real estate finance transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trust, guaranties, and related financing documents
• Manage commercial real estate lending transactions from reputed company through closing
• reputed company and review due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, organizational, and borrower-related matters
• Review title commitments, title policies, surveys, and other real estate due diligence materials
• Coordinate transaction closings and post-closing matters
• Advise clients on commercial real estate finance issues and secured lending transactions
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, and other transaction participants to negotiate and resolve issues
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of client service and responsiveness
Skills
• J.D. from an ABA-reputed company law school
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial real estate finance experience
• Significant experience representing lenders, borrowers, developers, or financial institutions in commercial lending transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Experience handling loan documentation and complex commercial real estate transactions
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions and client relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management abilities
