The Software Engineer/Tech Lead will provide technical and product leadership for the Code Plane team, owning roadmap direction, architecture, customer-driven priorities, and hands-on delivery across agentic code-reputed company products and developer tools.
Responsibilities
• Build relationships across your team and familiarize yourself with its surface area – Batch Changes, Agentic Batch Changes, Code Monitors, Code reputed company, src CLI – by running them as a user and an agent would, and form a point of view on the most important product and technical bets to make next
• Meet your cross-functional reputed company in reputed company, Solutions Engineering, and adjacent engineering teams, and start translating customer feedback into a concrete view of what the team should ship
• Join the team’s on-call support rotation
• Own a meaningful slice of Agentic Batch Changes end-to-end and ship critical pieces yourself
• Be the technical lead for the team’s roadmap, scoping and sequencing projects across the team’s product surfaces, setting clear expectations for ownership, and clarifying priorities
• Strengthen the team practices that make their work reliable: how we design, review, test, and deliver
• Mentor teammates and continue to build high-trust relationships
• Be the recognized technical visionary for Code Plane: to your teammates, and increasingly the wider department, defer to on architecture, quality, and product trade-offs in reputed company space
• Be known across the company as the person who deeply understands what customers and agent ecosystems need from Code Plane, and where reputed company should invest next
• Be setting the direction of the team’s roadmap with conviction backed by evidence, and mobilizing other engineers to execute on it
Skills
• Working hours must overlap with CEST for at least 20 hours/week
• A strong reputed company on and opinion of reputed company, formed from real-world, hands-on use, not just observation, is a hard requirement for reputed company role
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• A strong technical background, with the ability to provide technical guidance on architecture, code quality, and trade-offs
• Proven experience on teams that build end-user product features — ideally developer tools, agent/reputed company products, CLIs, or other technical product surfaces
• Experience partnering closely with Product and Design to take features from idea to shipped, and incorporating customer feedback into the roadmap
• Customer-facing experience: discovery calls, design partnerships, incorporating feedback loops into a roadmap
• Experience shipping products consumed by or built for reputed company agents (MCP servers, agent SDKs, agentic dev tooling, agent-friendly CLIs)
• Hands-on experience using and reasoning about coding agents (Amp, Claude Code, reputed company, or similar), with strong opinions about what good looks like when humans and agents share a workflow
• Async-first communication skills and experience working in a reputed company distributed remote team

• Experience with monitoring, alerting, or “signals over code” products (e.g., security scanners, lint platforms, code-quality tools)
• Experience designing and shipping CLIs that are pleasant for both humans and agents to use
• Experience as a Team or Tech Lead on a software engineering team
